What is the Annual Fund?

Annual Fund gifts are tax-deductible contributions that bridge the gap between what it actually costs to educate each student ($9,390 per student 07-08) and what most parents can afford ($4,620 tuition charged). Your gifts provide scholarship dollars for students who sincerely want to be Ledgers but lack the funds to do so. Gifts also support innovative academic endeavors and extra curricular activities. 

Last year, the Springs Annual Fund raised over $337,000. The Parent Partnership program added an additional $37,000.   Our goal for the 2007-2008 school year is $370,800 for the Annual Fund, and $46,350 for Parent Partnership.

Why must money be raised each year in addition to tuition?

In order to keep tuition affordable for most families, Springs charges tuition that covers only 49% of the cost of educating a student.  Operating expenses exceed tuition income by over $5,000 per student.  Income from the Annual Fund, parish subsidies and other fundraisers bridge the gap between tuition income and the operating budget.
