To better assist students with their career exploration and post-secondary planning, the Counseling Office has recently upgraded our Career Visions computer program by providing Internet access.While students can continue to utilize this informational, user-friendly program at Springs, students and parents can now access WISCareers at home as well.WISCareers is a comprehensive career and college search program that helps students identify occupations and colleges that closely match their particular interests and characteristics.Parents and students can log in to WISCareers at

To work with your son or daughter at home, simply enter your child’s user name and password and log in with the code

In the “Occupational” section, for example, students can take various career assessments (of their interests, skills, and values) that will identify occupations that best meet their needs.In this way, students can narrow down their list of over 700 different careers and begin to gather current, detailed information regarding the nature of the job, education/skill requirements, job outlook, salary, pros/cons of the job, related occupations, etc.Students can also find occupations to explore searching by title, keyword, or career area as well as links to relevant websites related to each career.

Similarly, in the “Education” section students can search from over 4,000 two- and four-year colleges that meet their particular needs and goals. For example, students can choose from a variety of college characteristics such as programs of study, academic competitiveness, location, enrollment, size, tuition, public or private, athletic programs, campus life, etc. to reduce their list of college matches to a manageable size. To view this detailed college information, students simply click on their matching colleges of interest.

To encourage regular use, remember that WISCareers can be accessed from any computer. We are excited to provide this helpful career and college exploration tool to assist students with their future plans and goals.
